&39;Kilis Gastronomy Opens up to the World&39; project, carried out by Kilis Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism  and funded by İpekyolu Development Agency, promotion launched. 

Many guests amongst which Deputy Governor of Kilis Osman Demir, Mayor of Kilis Mehmet Abdi Bulut, Chairman of the Provincial Council Şıhmehmet Yalçın, İpekyolu Development Agency Secretary General Dr. Burhan Akyılmaz, Culture and Tourism Provincial Director Cuma Özdemir, Provincial Special Administration General Secretary Ramazan Sümer and attended to the event held at the Islambey ÇATOM Mansion.

Giving a speech at the opening of the program, İpekyolu Development Agency Secretary General Burhan Akyılmaz stated that cities have been trying to promote themselves in order to compete with each other and said,  “They have started to use gastronomy and gastronomy tourism as instruments in this regard. With its production infrastructure and the employment capacity it creates, gastronomy is rapidly advancing towards being a development-oriented, economic growth model. Kilis has a very important infrastructure in terms of gastronomy and an agricultural product infrastructure&39;.
